The IFS Solution Developer 2 is a tool created to simplify the life for all IFS developers. IFS Solution Developer helps developers to easily carry out day today work on LCS Customization Projects following Application Quality Standards (AQS).
IFS Solution Developer is the natural starting point for all development in a customization project or support situation as it provides an integrated view of all files in the customer solution. Files in the IFS Applications archive, customers Harvest and an individual user's work folder are displayed in one integrated view. The tool supports all actions necessary for Harvest 12 brokers in R&D and in the Consulting and Support organizations.
IFS Solution Developer automates code merge. This can be merging a patch, merging a customization in an upgrade project or merging a customization copied from another customer. This can also be application of component patch sets from Service Packs or applying an R&D update. Solution Developer uses Delta Engine for diff analysis and code merge.
IFS Solution Developer supports the process of delivering code to customers. This includes delivering code from updates, Customizations and patches into the customers database and runtime folder for windows clients. IFS Solution Developer can prepare all middle tier and IFS EE client code to be deployed using the IFS Installer.
