Depending on how developer work, they may or may not have to install ISD. Those situations are discussed in below sections
If a developer works with IPE, ISD is available under the Foundation Tools section. In this case, the developer need not have to install ISD and the latest version of the ISD will be available automatically once there is a new release from R&D.
If developer need to install ISD locally, he or she can obtain it from the default corpnet location for F1Tools: \\corpnet\files\F1Tools\IFSSolutionDeveloper\ Developer should make sure to install correct version depending on the 32bit or 64bit operating system he or she might have. For example, If developer need to install ISD 2 on a 64bit PC, he or she should use InstallSolutionDeveloper2x_x64.msi. If InstallSolutionDeveloper2x.msi is used, it will try to figure out and install correct version automatically.
Once the installation is done, a good thing is to check update location in settings. Setting it correctly will enable automatic updates being installed once new version of the tool is released from R&D. More information on that is available here.
